We had the pleasure of the International Proxy Racers cars turn up at Wolves today courtesy of Beejay.
These are cars which are scratch built to certain governing rules and then raced around the world by various people. I have to say for NC1 motors with Ninco tyres on these little beauties went particularly well ![]() I only took a couple of phone pics, I know Mac P took others, perhaps he can give me permission to use them and I'll post them up. |

IPS take TWO !!
The posting of too many pics caught me out again, right here we go again. as Wibb,s says we saw the arrivale of the proxy cars from OZ, the US of A Canada and those of the UK bods. As the formula is set out to keep all the cars within a ballpark figure the racing was quite close .There where a few cars that where always going to shine, they where a delight to drive but in the main the racing was close. The car builds ranged from a total scratch build ie chassis and body to some up rated RTR,s. Here are a few of the one,s that caught my eye. [IMG] ![]() This is a total scratch build of one of the first Lola,s, the time when they started stuffing the yank V 8,s into GT and sports cars. [IMG] [/IMG]This Birdcage Masa is by the hand of Al Schwarts, using a PCB chassis, Al has made the trip over from the states to rum in the Early Bird meetins from time to time, a true gentleman plus a good builders of cars. Ill not chance more pick on this one , but add a second post ====== |

Here,s a couple more to oggle.
[IMG] [/IMG]This neat Masa is the work of Rob Livingston of New York, a very accurate model that looked "right". [IMG] [/IMG]This is a super model of one of the Cobra Coupes, not sure who,s it was but it looked the part. If you get the chance in the future of driving these cars, make the effort , they are great fun and a plesant easy going Sunday morning. Cheers Mac P |
